The Bulldogs Gym Choice of Selection For Friday

To My Wonderful and Blessed Classmates of 1979  (Please take the time and read)

Over the past 35 years of our life and journey, we all have travelled different and unique walks of life and God has provided us with the journey that was destined.  In looking at that journey, our city and our neighborhoods throughout this process of life, has experienced the devestation of  Hurricane Katrina, therefore, leaving some with a bitter-sweet thought process and many have been blessed to move on with life and secure a better fulfilling life in many ways.   We as classmates should be grateful for this times and changes, and our lives were recognized in many ways accordingly.

Secondly, many of us have moved away from the city and we have not connected on a fulltime basis with our friendships, nor have the natives that are in New Orleans had the time to really see us as well, therefore, what a blessing and opportunity to go back to our school gym, with memories of Pep Rallies, Basketball Games, PE Classes, Mr. Minor assembly gathering, etc.   My God, just the thought of us, our Class 1979 with the classes of 1978 and 1980 joining us.  We have a three year span of friendships that have separated in some fashion over the years, to predict seeing so many students in one gymnasium is AWESOME, and PROFOUND.

Thirdly, due to Katrina, you would not recognize the great accomplishments with the tour of duty and the concentrated effort our School, our Alumni has made in supporting the educational foundation of a preparatory school, that promote, market, and instill top notch educational system that is managed by Principal Coleman, who is originally from Chicago, Illiinois.

To conclude, a $10.00 donation per person will be given to our great school, our foundation, our community school in an effort that this Godly contribution can be used by Principal Coleman in an effort of supporting our younger generation and there has been discussion in regards to ownership and accountability with this mission.

So if and when you ask yourself why Clark Gymnasium as the Venue, read above, avoid negativity, and focused on the effort, the celebration, the reunion awareness, the ability to see old friends, and the thought that you ARE A PART OF THIS EVENT AND CELEBRATION.   So when you are done viewing and reading this page, make payments, attend the reunion, it will be classy and memorable.
